Safe Sedation for Every Age
Your safety comes first at every stage, and that starts before the medication does.
Before recommending any sedation, we review your full medical history, current medications, allergies, and any previous reaction to anesthesia or sedatives. Some health conditions and medications change which option is appropriate, so this step is never skipped.
For children who feel anxious, nitrous oxide is usually the best fit. It is gentle, it wears off completely, and it helps a child build a calm memory of the dental chair instead of a frightening one.
For adults, we choose between nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation based on your anxiety level and the treatment planned.
During deeper sedation, our team monitors your vital signs continuously and stays with you the entire time. You will also receive clear written instructions covering when to stop eating, which medications to take or hold, and how to plan your ride home.
Why Patients Choose Elite Dental Group for Sedation Dentistry
No judgement, ever. Many of our sedation patients have not seen a dentist in years. We are interested in helping you move forward, not in discussing the past.
Three sedation levels under one roof. You are not forced into the deepest option or left with only the lightest. We match the method to the person.
Time to talk first. Dr. Mark Turner will explain exactly what you will feel, what you will remember, and how you will feel afterward before you commit to anything.
More treatment in fewer visits. Sedation lets us combine procedures, which means less time off work and fewer appointments to dread.
A calm office, not a rushed one. From the front desk to the treatment room, the pace here is deliberately unhurried.
Care for the whole family. Anxious children, nervous adults, and patients with special needs are all welcome.
Take the Fear Out of Your Next Dental Visit
Avoiding the dentist does not make dental problems go away. It gives them time to grow. A small cavity becomes a root canal, and a treatable gum issue becomes bone loss.
Sedation dentistry breaks that cycle. It lets you get the treatment you need without the fear that has been standing in the way, and it often gives patients a completely new relationship with dental care.
At Elite Dental Group, Dr. Mark Turner and our team are ready to listen, explain, and make your visit as calm as possible. Serving Taunton and nearby communities including Raynham, Berkley, Dighton, Norton, and Lakeville.
